Zakopane | "Karol from Atma. Music Unites": "Breath and Sound"

Atma

A concert on 30 July 2020 at 6.00 p.m. at the Karol Szymanowski Museum in the villa "Atma", organized as part of the "Karol from Atma. Music Unites" series, will premiere the latest works by Polish composers.

The concert will feature a trio of outstanding performers: flautists Łukasz Długosz and Agata Długosz and pianist Andrzej Jungiewicz. The evening will be hosted by dr hab. Małgorzata Janicka-Słysz, prof. AMK, Atma's curator for programming.

The programme will include – apart from works by Léo Delibes, Franciszek Doppler and Karol Szymanowski – four world premieres of works by Polish composers. We will hear Lovespell by Iwona Kisiel, Duo by Paweł Mykietyn, Dodecanzon by Adam Sławiński and Gismondo by Jarosław Siwiński. The latter was co-financed by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage in the programme "Composing Commissions" operated by the Institute of Music and Dance.

For security reasons, the event will take place in the garden in front of the Karol Szymanowski Museum. Keep a distance, cover your mouth and nose, and disinfect hands at the entrance to the museum. The organizers also invite you to the online broadcast of the event on the Facebook profile of the National Museum in Kraków: https://www.facebook.com/muzeum.narodowe.krakow

Admission to the concert is free.
