"Conductor-in-residence": Anna Sułkowska-Migoń

FDThe Lower Silesian Philharmonic in Jelenia Góra invites you on 5 February 2021 at 7:00 p.m. to a concert of Anna Sułkowska-Migoń and Małgorzata Wasiucionek as part of the "Conductor-in-residence" programme of the Institute of Music and Dance.

Anna Sułkowska-Migoń is the conductor-in-residence at the Lower Silesian Philharmonic in the 2020/2021 artistic season. She graduated from the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, where she studied viola with Piotr Reichert and Katarzyna Budnik. In 2019 she completed her BA studies in symphony and opera conducting in the class of Piotr Sułkowski at the Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz. Currently, she is a graduate student of the Academy of Music in Krakow. She made her debut on the stage of the Warmian-Masurian Philharmonic conducting the diploma concert (2019). A year later, she conducted the orchestra during the 7th Krakow Cello Spring at the Academy of Music in Krakow. She is conductor of the Ars Cameralis choir in Krakow and the female choir of the Ignatianum Academy in Krakow as well as choir teacher at the W. Kilar Primary Music School in Olkusz.

During the upcoming concert, the Lower Silesian Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Anna Sułkowska-Migoń will perform Mieczysław Karłowicz's Serenade for string orchestra, Bedřich Smetana's Vltava from My Homeland and Mieczysław Karłowicz's Violin Concerto in A major. The soloist of the concert will be Małgorzata Wasiucionek – doctor of musical arts, assistant professor at the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice, member of the Messages Quartet.
