New Voice in the Year of Lem. Open call for applications to the new programme of the Institute of Music and Dance

IMiTThe Institute of Music and Dance in cooperation with the Jutropera Foundation is launching the "New Voice" artistic and social programme aimed at non-governmental organisations of people with disabilities. The programme will result in an opera-theatre performance devoted to the work of Stanisław Lem, whose 100th birthday is celebrated this year. Call for applications is open from 7 April to 5 May 2021.

“In the Year of Lem, we rediscover how great a visionary he was. We invite you to cooperate – everyone who will take part in the programme: professional artists, great stars and people who will stand on stage for the first time, will be able to perform after the workshop and participate in finding Lem's perspective on the human condition" – says Michał Znaniecki, director and originator of the programme. The programme is open to non-governmental organisations operating in the Dolnośląskie, Małopolskie and Warmińsko-Mazurskie voivodships, which bring together people with disabilities, both artists and amateurs, or people with no experience in this field.

Organisations selected in the competition together with the programme's team, composed of, among others, Michał Znaniecki (script, direction and costumes), Luigi Scoglio (set design), Karolina Jacewicz (multimedia projections), Dariusz Albrycht (lighting director), Krzysztof Łochowicz and Rafał Kłoczko (musical direction), will jointly work on an opera-theater performance New Voice: LEM.

The performances will premiere in September and October on the stages of three cities: Ełk, Kłodzko and Nowy Sącz.
