The National Forum of Music invites you on 2-6 June 2021 to the concerts of the 12th edition of the Leo Festival, traditionally hosted by the NFM Leopoldinum Orchestra under the artistic direction of Ernst Kovacic.
The opening concert under the title "We will Survive" symbolically refers to the difficult times of pandemic. Its optimistic overtone is a promise of a reward for all our perseverance.
The special guest of the festival is Bartosz Porczyk – one of the most talented actors on the Polish theatre scene. On 4 June, together with Aleksandra Bugaj, he will present Mieczysław Karłowicz's songs. This evening we will also hear Mieczysław Weinberg's Rhapsody on Moldavian Themes for violin and string orchestra.
The final concert of Leo Festival was prepared with children in mind! We will hear well-known works from films about the adventures of Professor Ambroży Blot and his students composed by Andrzej Korzyński, Krzesimir Dębski's River of Dreams from the soundtrack for In Desert and Wilderness, as well as one of the masterpieces of French music of the 20th century.
