Koszalin | Endless Ending

FK"Endless ending" is the title of the concert which will be held on 11 June 2021 at 6.30 p.m. at the Stanisław Moniuszko Koszalin Philharmonic. The trio of pianist Krzysztof Dys, double bassist Paweł Pańta and percussionist Krzysztof Szmańda will perform with the Koszalin Philharmonic Orchestra under the baton of Jakub Chrenowicz.

The concert was to take place exactly a year earlier, at the end of the 2019/2020 artistic season. However, only in June this year all musicians will be able to perform together at the stage of the Koszalin Philharmonic.

The concert will begin with Antoni Szałowski's Overture. Then we will hear Maciej Małecki's Jazz Concerto, the premiere of which – by the same trio – took place in March 2016 in the Witold Lutosławski Concert Studio of Polish Radio. Maciej Małecki dedicated the piece to his prematurely deceased son Marcin, also a jazzman and composer. The artist left some fragments of the Jazz Concerto to the creativity of the performers, who freely interpret and improvise their parts. The final piece of the concert will be George Gershwin's famous symphonic poem The American in Paris.
