Pergine Festival – Premiere of Anna Sowa's "Close Up"

PergineThe premiere of Close Up by Anna Sowa will take place on 16 July 2021 at the 46th edition of the international theatre festival Pergine Festival in Italy.

Every year, Pergine Festival brings together artists from all over the world (directors, actors, dancers, performers, musicians) who present a wide range of works in the field of contemporary theatre, dance theatre and performance art. The event owes its unique character to interdisciplinary activities, also of an interactive nature, created in the urban space of Pergine.

Recently, the Italian festival has expanded its offer to include presentations in the field of 21st century music. The instrumental theatre piece Close Up for violin, accordion, voice, movement and electronics will be premiered on 16 July at 8.30 p.m. at the Teatro Don Bosco in Pergine as part of the festival performances. The piece was composed by Anna Sowa for the Polish-Italian artistic collective Kalakara. It will be performed by Dorota Jasińska (violin) and Margherita Berlanda (accordion).

The event was supported by the Adam Mickiewicz Institute in the "Polish culture in the world" programme.
