Krakow | Open-air concert of the Krakow Philharmonic Reed Trio: "Music in the garden"

FKThe Krakow Philharmonic, together with the Austria's Consul in Krakow, invites you to an open-air concert of the "Music in the garden" series. On 24 July 2021 at 6.00 p.m. the Reed Trio of the Krakow Philharmonic will perform in the garden of the Consulate General of Austria.

The Reed Trio of the Krakow Philharmonic is a wind instrument ensemble consisting of the leading musicians of the Krakow Philharmonic Orchestra, who also pursue careers as soloists. Oboist Mariusz Pędzialek, the concertmaster of the Krakow Philharmonic Orchestra, is a member of the Muzyka Centrum Artistic Association, the Polish Society for Electroacoustic Music and the Witold Lutosławski Society. He was awarded the Gold Cross of Merit, the Medal for Merit to Culture "Gloria Artis" and the Krakow Honoris Gratia badge. The first clarinetist of the Krakow Philharmonic Orchestra, Jan Cielecki, is a member of the Muzyka Centrum Artistic Association as well as the Brass Quintet of the Krakow Philharmonic. Zdzisław Bogacz was the first bassoon player at the Krakow Opera, the Polish Chamber Philharmonic in Sopot, and the Polish Radio Orchestra in Warsaw. Since 1986. he has been employed as the first bassoon player in the Krakow Philharmonic Orchestra. Since 1992, as a chamber musician, he has been associated with the Trio and the Brass Quintet of the Krakow Philharmonic.

The trio's repertoire includes pieces written for this classical instrumental ensemble and various arrangements. During the next concert, the musicians will present Alexander Tansman's Suite pour trio d'anches as well as works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Jacques Ibert and Libor Sima.
