A concert of the Krakow Philharmonic sextet will take place on 31 July 2021 at 6.00 p.m. in the gardens of the Austrian Consulate General in Krakow as part of the "Music in the Garden" series.
The programme will include film music hits. We will hear songs by Władysław Szpilman, Lucjan Kaszycki, Włodzimierz Nahorny and suites of film music by such masters as Henryk Wars, Bronisław Kaper, Henryk Kuźniak, Włodzimierz Korcz, Jerzy Matuszkiewicz and Andrzej Kurylewicz.
The concert will be performed by outstanding Krakow instrumentalists who have often participated in soundtrack recordings: Magdalena Di Blasi – the principal flutist of the Karol Szymanowski Philharmonic Orchestra in Krakow, clarinetist Michał Spadnik, horn player Marek Gumiela, violist Błażej Michna and cellist Marta Nagawiecka. The musicians are laureates of numerous competitions, they regularly collaborate with renowned orchestras and ensembles and also perform as soloists both in Poland and abroad.
In case of rain, the concert will be held at the Krakow Philharmonic.
