9th Lower Silesian Music Festival "Searching for harmony"

Dolnośląski FestiwalThe organist Krzysztof Karcz and trombonist Tomasz Stolarczyk will inaugurate the 9th Lower Silesian Music Festival on 1 August 2021 at 7.00 p.m. in the church of Church the of Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. The Festival will run from August, through September to October.

The leitmotif of this year's edition of the Lower Silesian Music Festival is "Searching for harmony" – the last year has shown how important art, music and word are to all of us. The 100th anniversary of Władysław Żeleński's death in 2021 also influenced the festival programme. Żeleńki's works will be performed at each of the concerts.

The upcoming events are two August concerts in the interiors of baroque churches in Polanica-Zdrój and Stary Wielisław. On 1 August, we will hear the original organ-trombone duo: Krzysztof Karcz and Tomasz Stolarczyk will present the work Holy God by Żeleński, as well as Komm, Gott Schopfer heiliger Gheist BWV 667 and Prelude and Fugue in G minor BWV 558 by Johann Sebastian Bach and Largo by Georg Friedrich Handel. On 22 August, the violinist Karol Lipiński and organist Adam Klarecki will perform at 7.00 p.m. in the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Sorrows in Stary Wielisław.

The concerts in September and October will feature such virtuosos as cellist Jan Kalinowski, pianist Marek Szlezer and organist Mateusz Rzewuski.

Admission to all concerts is free!
