Art Mintaka Christmas Festival – remote edition 2021

Art MintakaThe Art Mintaka Christmas Festival, organised by the Art Mintaka Polish Chamber Music Foundation in collaboration with the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz, will be held remotely on 16-19 December 2021. The event will feature premieres of works by Polish composers as well as presentations of works by visual artists. All festival events will be available to watch for free on the YouYube channel of the Art Mintaka Foundation.

December is a special time of the year: a time of connecting, summing up and sharing; a time of community and a new beginning. These are the main ideas behind the Art Mintaka Christmas Festival: ideas of bringing together through art, ideas of finding new solutions and returning to old ones, ideas of beauty. At this time of the year, on the one hand, we are already thinking about Christmas and New Year, but on the other hand we are still active. In many cities there are no festival events for more than two months. This is going to change thanks to the Art Mintaka Christmas Festival.

This year's edition of the festival will present the latest compositions of classical music by the most important Polish composers, works of female and male artists from other fields of art, some commissioned especially for this occasion, others already produced and awarded, combining various fields of art. We will hear, among others, the premieres of the compositions SudavikSonata by Grażyna Pstrokońska-Nawratil, Ludzie z Vełny by Rafał Gorczycki and 7 by Artur Zagajewski.
