Media patronage: Polish Music Information Centre POLMIC
On the 20th of May 2022 at 7.00 p.m. on the occasion of the World Accordion Day the Accordionists Research Group of the Stanisław MoniuszkoMusic Academy in Gdańsk invites you to a special concert. Three accordion orchestras will perform in the concert hall of the Academy. The programme will include, among others premiere of compositions by Krzysztof Falkowski Enigma, as well as compositions by A. Chaczaturian, G. Rossini, J. Brahms, F. von Suppe, G. Bizet, M. Lorenc, W. Kilar, N. Rizol.
Performers will be Pulsanti Accordion Orchestra prepared by dr. hab. Paweł Zagańczyk, the Kashubian Accordion Orchestra and the Arti Sentemo Chamber Accordion Orchestra conducted by Zbigniew Czuryła. In the final of the concert over 30 accordionists will play two compositions together.
The Gdańsk Academy of Music has been the organizer of the World Accordion Day for many years. During previous editions lectures and scientific sessions were also organized. The event was held under the patronage of the Confédération Internationale des Accordéonistes (CIA), which brings together accordionists from all over the world.
