The "Poznań Music Spring" International Festival of Contemporary Music was established in 1961 on the initiative of Tadeusz Szeligowski. For over half a century, the Festival has been presenting the works of contemporary composers. The concert programme includes works by foreign and Polish composers - from the classics of the 20th century to the latest works, including world premieres. Promotion of composers associated with Poznań and Greater Poland plays an important role in the Festival.

The Festival is organized by the Polish Composers’ Union and Music Encounters Foundation. The project is co-financed by the city of Poznań and Wielkopolska Voivodship.

Co-financed by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage of the Republic of Poland from the Culture Promotion Fund as part of the ‘Music’ programme implemented by the National Institute of Music and Dance.
