From the 18th of June to the 11th of November, 2022, the 10th Lower Silesian Music Festival will take place. The theme of the jubilee edition is ‘Romantic soul’ and the programme refers to the celebration of the Year of Polish Romanticism. The event will be inaugurated by an extraordinary recital of Lidia Grychtołówna at the Spa Theater in Duszniki-Zdrój.
The main idea of the Lower Silesian Music Festival is to present the most outstanding works of music culture, both Polish and international, in the interiors of theaters, palaces, castles and churches in Lower Silesia. The programme of this year's Festival includes works by Polish and foreign composers from the Romantic period and references to them in contemporary music. Musicians such as Magdalena Cornelius-Kulig (artistic director of the Festival), accordionist and composer Maciej Zimka, Dariusz Wójcik (director of the Open Theater in Gdańsk), pianist Marek Szlezer, soprano Małgorzata Rodek, organists Luigi Vincenzo, Stefano Manfredini, Stefano Pellini, flutists Alma di Gaetano, Janos Balint, clarinetist Giordano Muolo, as well as the Krakow Philharmonic Choir and the Aighetta Quartett will take part in the event.
Co-financed by the Ministry of Culture, National Heritage and Sport from the Culture Promotion Fund as part of the ‘Music’ programme, implemented by the National Institute of Music and Dance.
