Warsaw | 18th Festival 'Chopin and his Europe'

From the 14th to the 31st of August, 2022 an international ‘Chopin and his Europe’ Festival will take place in Warsaw. The programme includes over 30 concerts.

Piano recitals will be performed by, among others, Bruce Liu, the winner of the International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition in 2021. We will hear orchestras and chamber musicians in 16 concerts, there will also be vocal music. A treat for opera lovers will be a concert performance of Giuseppe Verdi's Un giorno di regno, ossia il finto Stanislao. The European Union Youth Orchestra, conducted by Gianandre Noseda, will present A Sorrowful Tale, Op. 13 by Mieczysław Karłowicz. Sinfonia Varsovia, conducted by Andriy Yurkevych, will perform symphonic works by Zygmunt Noskowski and Witold Maliszewski. Piano Quintet in F minor, Op. 18 by Mieczysław Weinberg will be presented during the chamber concert on the 27th of August.
