VI CORNO – Brass Music Festival will take place between the 15th and 20th of August 2022, as always in Zielona Góra. There are six different concerts planned, in which the main role will be played by orchestral brass – French horn,
trumpet, trombone and tuba. We will also hear the Zielona Góra Philharmonic Orchestra under the direction of Radek Baborak and a jazz band led by American trumpet player Brandon Ridenour and Nikola Kołodziejczyk.
CORNO - Brass Music Festival is a unique event during which there are chamber and symphonic concerts, international instrumental workshops, individual and group lessons, classes on healthy body posture, lectures, an exhibition of instruments – all in several locations in Zielona Góra. It is a unique and the only festival of this type in Poland, currently the largest both in the country and in this part of Europe.
During the inaugurating concert, the work by Kołodziejczyk Turning Table will be performed. The commission of the work by the Festival was co-financed by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage, as part of the ‘Composers’ Commissions’ programme, implemented by the National Institute of Music and Dance..
The creators of the festival are Łukasz Łacny and Maciej Baranowski, graduates of the Music School in Zielona Góra. Their contacts with outstanding musicians around the world allow them to invite stars to their hometown.
Co-financed by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage from the Culture Promotion Fund. Realized with the financial support of the City of Zielona Góra.
