The theme of the jubilee Festival refers to the present times, which will certainly leave a permanent mark in the history of mankind. On the other hand, the contrasted programme of the event will undoubtedly ensure the interest of various audiences, and the title hope will pour optimism into the hearts of music lovers.
Recognized conductors, soloists, choirs and chamber ensembles presenting diverse repertoire will perform at 10 concerts. During the inauguration, we will hear Krzysztof Penderecki's Seven Gates of Jerusalem. In the following days, a concert will be held to mark the 40th anniversary of the Polish Chamber Philharmonic in Sopot. British vocal ensemble The King's Singers, Capella Bydgostiensis, Kasia Cerekwicka, Małgorzata Ostrowska, Agnieszka Twardowska and Anna Grzelak will take part in the Festival. Arvo Pärt's works will be performed by the Estonian Philharmonic Orchestra and Choir in Tallinn, and Ewa Bem's greatest hits will be presented in a symphonic project.
