Media patronage: Polish Music Information Centre POLMIC
The season inauguration of the Silesian Chamber Orchestra on the 23rd of September, 2022 at 7.00 pm at the Silesian Philharmonic will be dominated by music of the Bach family - Wilhelm Friedemann, Johann Christian and Carl Philipp Emanuel. In addition to the Bach symphonies, we will also hear works of the 20th and 21st centuries and - obligatorily - the work of the patron of the Silesian Philharmonic - Henryk Mikołaj Górecki.
The orchestra will be conducted by Maciej Tomasiewicz, and the soloists will be Marek Nosal and Jakub Moroziński. The event will also be a prelude to the upcoming opening of the 8th International Jan Edmund Jurkowski Festival and Guitar Competition ‘Silesian Guitar Autumn’.
