2nd edition of the Karol Szymanowski competition in Composition category - last call!

polmicOnly until the 30th September, 2022, composers can submit their works to the Karol Szymanowski International Music Competition in the Composition category! The second edition of the competition will open up even more opportunities for participants. In addition to high financial prizes, the winners have a chance to give their careers a boost.

The winning compositions will be included in the repertoire of the performance competition, published by Polskie Wydawnictwo Muzyczne and recorded on a CD.

Agata Zubel, Daniel Cichy, as well as leading European authors - Dutch composer and poet Rozalie Hirs and Yann Robin from France will be the jury members.

The competition is open to authors from all over the world who are under 40 years of age. Works may be submitted in one of four disciplines: piano, violin (solo or with piano), voice (solo or with piano) or string quartet. Each participant can submit more than one track, increasing their chance of winning. Works intended for speech may use text in any language chosen by the composer.

Applications for the composers' competition will be accepted until the 30th of September via the online recruitment form, which can be found on the website www.szymanowski-competition.com
