Cracow | 6th Cracow Accordion Festival

The 6th edition of the Cracow Accordion Festival will take place on October 9-16, 2022. The concerts and accompanying events will take place in Cracow and in the Galician Town and the Ethnographic Park of Nowy Sącz. Each day of the festival will present a different face of the accordion as an instrument.

The 6th Cracow Accordion Festival is an international celebration of accordion music in all its manifestations. In addition to concerts given by performers and composers of various generations and musical genres, the festival includes many accompanying events with the accordion "in the lead role" such as workshops, lectures, an exhibition, a film competition and award gala or the Accordion Day in the Galician Town.

Works by Maciej Zimka, Alina Dzięcioł, Volodymyr Runchak, Paweł Janas, Paweł Zagańczyk, Thomas Cornelius, Wojciech Widłak, Marta Śniada and Marcin Bortnowski will be premiered during the festival.

The festival also helps to get to know Cracow and its significant locations among which are: the Academy of Music in Cracow, the Church of St. Katarzyna Aleksandryjska, Hevre, Bishop Erazm Ciołek Palace - branch of the National Museum in Cracow, St. Martin, Piwnica pod Baranami or the Manggha Museum of Japanese Art and Technology.
