Media patronage: Polish Music Information Centre POLMIC
World-famous pianist Peter Jablonski will take part in the concert at the NOSPR premises on the 9th of December, 2022 at 19.30. The NOSPR Orchestra will be conducted by Lawrence Foster. This evening's guest concertmaster will be David Lefèvre.
The artists will perform the Overture to Weber's opera Freischütz, excerpts from Berlioz's dramatic symphony Romeo and Juliet and Grażyna Bacewicz's Piano Concerto. According to Adam Suprynowicz, ‘The composer gives an evasive and brilliant response to the increasingly strong political pressure in Stalinist Poland, which was being rebuilt after the aggression of the German Third Reich. She combines folklore filtered through modernity with virtuosity in a romantic intensity.’
