Warsaw | 'Polish Music Scene': Gidaszewska / Łaguniak / Koziak Trio

ScenaMuzyki 24.1.23

The programme implemented by the National Institute of Music and Dance ‘Polish Music Scene’ aims to bring back to life and present the entire wealth of Polish compositional creativity. As part of the 4th edition of this programme, on the 24th of January, 2023 at 19:00, the Gidaszewska / Łaguniak / Koziak Trio will perform at the Warsawl Philharmonic. The performers will present a repertoire composed of little-known, rediscovered works by native composers.

The programme of the concert includes works by four Polish artists whose compositions are still too rarely performed on stages in Poland and abroad.

Maurycy Moszkowski's Romantic Suite Op.71 and Roman Palester's Sonata for two violins and piano, representing the turn of the Neoclassical and Expressionist periods, are chamber music works written for uncommon instrumental setup. Grażyna Bacewicz’s Partita for violin and piano was also written at the peak of the development of the neoclassical trend. At the beginning of the recital we will hear Aleksander Tansman's neoclassical Sonatina for flute or violin and piano (1925).
