Musica Humana-Musica Mundana. Cantata para America magica by Albert Ginastera at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw

On the 5^th of December, 2023, the New Music Center and the Studio of Anthropology of Musical Culture at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music organized a conference, exhibition and concert dedicated to the work of Alberto Ginastera at the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music on the 40^th anniversary of his death.

During the concert (December 5, 2023, 8 p.m., Fryderyk Chopin Music University Concert Hall), Ginastera's monumental work was performed - Cantata para America magica for percussion orchestra, 2 pianos, celesta and dramatic soprano solo (Diana Gemborys) to the words of pre-Columbian texts in Nahuatl. Krzysztof Kicior's work ...so to speak for drums and live electronics was also premiered in an aesthetic way referring to Ginastera's percussion work. All events took place under the patronage of the Embassy of Argentina in Warsaw...

Relacja z VII Międzynarodowej Konferencji „Analiza dzieła muzycznego. Historia-theoria-praxis”

Patronat medialny nad Konferencją objęło sprawuje Polskie Centrum Informacji Muzycznej POLMIC.

Międzynarodowa Konferencja „Analiza dzieła muzycznego. Historia-theoria-praxis” była siódmą edycją wydarzenia organizowanego przez Akademię Muzyczną im. Karola Lipińskiego we Wrocławiu. Tegoroczne wydarzenie było organizowane w ramach obchodów Jubileuszu 75-lecia Akademii Muzycznej im. Karola Lipińskiego we Wrocławiu i odbywało się w dniach 5-6 grudnia 2023 roku. Udział czynny w konferencji wzięło 25 uczestników - wybitnych naukowców z Austrii, Francji, Hiszpanii, Litwy, Niemiec, Polski, Rumunii, Serbii oraz Wielkiej Brytanii.

Zaprezentowane zostały różne perspektywy badawcze: semiotyczna, hermeneutyczna, aksjologiczna i intertekstualna, stosowane odmienne koncepcje oraz metody analizy i interpretacji dzieła w celu dociekania sensu i poszukiwania znaczenia w muzyce. Zwrócona została uwaga na szerokie zastosowanie analizy, m.in. w badaniu związków muzyki ze słowem, w zgłębianiu problematyki gatunku, stylu i techniki kompozytorskiej, a także ekspresji i narracji w muzyce. Poruszone zostały także zagadnienia wykonawstwa i odbioru muzyki. Wydarzenie cieszyło się także dużym zainteresowaniem uczestników biernych.

American premiere I Sonata of Mariusz Dubaj

Michał Drewnowski's piano recital on the 21^st of October, 2023 inaugurated a series of chamber concerts in the newly built Jadwiga Roguska-Kyts Concert Hall at the Academy of Music of the Paderewski Symphony Orchestra in Chicago (USA).

During the concert, the American premiere of the Sonata No.1 (2nd version) for piano by Mariusz Dubaj, president of the Lublin Branch of the Polish Composers' Union took place.

15. Schaeffer's Era makes history

Autumn is spoiling us this year with good weather and interesting spectacles for a wide audience. These include Schaeffer's Era organized by the Aurea Porta Foundation, the 15^th anniversary edition of which took place at the Zachęta National Art Gallery on the 6^th of November. Thanks to experienced managers, the happening entitled "Multimedia something", popularizing the work of Bogusław Schaeffer, was attended by professional actors and avant-garde virtuoso musicians from various parts of the world, representing opposing traditions and boldly combining opposing styles.

Review of the 10th edition of the International Katarzyna Myćka Marimba Academy

X International Katarzyna Myćka Marimba Academy

On July 14-23, 2023 in Gdańsk, at the Stanisław Moniuszko Academy of Music, the International Katarzyna Myćka Marimba Academy - IKMMA took place. It was the jubilee, 10^th edition.

The Marimba Academy is organized every 2 years in different countries (Poland, Germany, Luxembourg, USA). During the 9^th edition of the aforementioned event (2019), I had the pleasure of attending two IKMMA concerts in Gdańsk. Even then I was interested in this project, and in particular its international character, bringing together participants from all over the world. This year (2023) I took part in the entire event as a participant. 10. IKMMA made a great impression on me, also in terms of organization.
