conductor; b.17 Aug. 1962 in Porozowo (District Grodno), Belarus. He completed Musical Secondary School in Grodno, 1981 with Fiodor Martyniuk accordion class. He continued studying accordion with Valenty Tchaban and conducting with Gienadij Jermotchenko and Anatoliy Lysienko at the Belorussian Music Academy (Belorussian Conservatory). His first conducting experience he benefited from cooperation with University Orchestras, achieving triumphs at conducting competitions. After graduation (1986) he won laurels of Student Scientific Musicology Studies (diploma). Until 1988 he was in Military Service on Far North(former Soviet Autonomic Republic). Coming back to Minsk, he started work as a conductor and supervisor of Belorussian Technical University Orchestra. At the same time he started to create Polish community in Minsk as the President of the Cultural and Educational Association “Polonia” and the vice President of ZPB (Polish People Association in Belarus).
In 1990 – 1992, owning to the Polish Government Scholarship he improved his conducting skill at Music Academy in Katowice with Karol Stryja.
In 1991 – 1996 Victor Dmuchowski took part in the International Conductors’ Competitions:
- of G. Fitelberg’s (Katowice, 1991)
- of S. Prokofiev’s (Sankt Petersburg, 1993 diploma)
- in Tokyo International Conductor’s Competition (Vienna, Konzerthaus, 1994)
- Hungarian Television 8th International Conductor’s Competition (Budapest, 1995)
- of Dimitry Mitropoulos’s (Athens, 1996)
He has lead numerous famous orchestras: in Sankt Petersburg, Minsk, Konzerthaus in Vienna, Orchestra of Colours in Athens, Szombathely Symphony Orchestra. He guided the Anniversary International Moniuszko’s Festival Concert in Minsk. He has made a great number of records, both in radio and television. He has conducted orchestras in Poland.
He has been cooperating with numerous orchestras in the world. Wiktor Dmuchowski works as an adviser and specialist of Art for "La Passione” Art Management.
He contributed a lot into development of conducting schools in Poland, by translating and working on the materials concerning the world conducting, for example Conducting interpretation of Peter Tchaikovsky's symphonies by Kirill Kondrashin.
