POLMIC is the producer of monographic websites about Polish composers and musicologists (Grażyna Bacewicz, Tadeusz Baird, Krzysztof Droba, Roman Maciejewski, Zygmunt Mycielski, Roman Palester, Andrzej Panufnik, Kazimierz Serocki, Tomasz Sikorski). The websites, created on average every two years, are the result of the work of famous Polish musicologists, scientists, including those associated with ZKP. Polish Music Information Centre POLMIC was set up in 2001, using as its foundation the Library of the Polish Composers’ Union (PCU) – Polish Contemporary Music Documentation Centre. For more than fifty years prior to POLMIC’s establishment, the latter institution had collected books, scores and records as well as information about contemporary Polish composers and their output.
