The idea of “New Music New Faces” festival, since 2006 is to promote composers and musicians of the young generation. Alongside the concerts, the event features meetings with the participating composers - the public are given an opprtunity to meet young creators in person, and the composers can establish contact with artists from various European countries. Our goal is to make Cracow a centre of international meetings of young musicians, and artists of various disciplines as well. In previous years, the festival hosted such artists as Judith Ingolfsson, Vladimir Stoupel, the Archi String Quartet, Cracow Duo (Jan Kalinowski & Marek Szlezer) and young Polish musicians - laureates of international competitions. The festival is organized by young composers, musicians and animators of culture associated in the Polish Artists’ Society.
The “New Music New Faces” festival was initiated in June 2006 in Cracow, by Jacek Wiktor Ajdinovic and Jerzy Stankiewicz, and was supported by the City of Cracow.
