pianist; b. 30th January 1982, Olsztyn. She graduated from the Fryderyk Chopin Academy of Music (presently: Fryderyk Chopin University of Music) in Warsaw (2005) under Bronislawa Kawalla (Piano) and Jerzy Marchwinski (Chamber Music). After graduation, she continued her education at Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris / Alfred Cortot in Nelson Delle Vigne Fabbri’s class. Currently she is completing a Doctorate Degree Program in Interpretation at the Université de Montréal under the supervision of Paul Stewart.

She has been working with many distinguished artists and pedagogues during the national and international masterclasses: Edward Wolanin, Pascal Devoyon, Jean – Philippe Collard, Philippe Entremont, Robert Roux, Oleg Krimer, Jean- Eude Vaillancourt.

Since an early age she has started performing and participating in piano competitions, obtaining prizes and distinctions. At the age of 9 she gained The Best Pianist prize at the competition for the most beautiful interpretation of Mozart’s music. She was also awarded with the 1st prize - with jury unanimity - at Ecole Normale de Musique de Paris / Alfred Cortot (2006), 1st prize for excellence at the International Competition of Music and Drama Leopold Bellan in Paris (2007), 2nd prize for excellence at Lagny sur Marne Piano Competition in France (2007).

The pianist is performing as a soloist and chamber musician in North America and Europe. Her orchestral debut was conducted by Lukasz Borowicz (1999) at the concert commemorating the anniversary of the Independence of Poland. She performed at the international music festivals and masterclasses such as Paris Summer Sessions, De Varsovie à Paris – meetings with young talents, Music-A Braine l’Alleud in Belgium, Apeldoorn Stichting Masterclass in Holland and at several music festivals in Poland - in the cities of Slupsk, Bialystok, Zamosc and Zakopane. She has been performing, inter alia, at: Salle Alfred Cortot (France), Salle Claude Champagne (Canada), Chapelle historique du Bon Pasteur (Canada), Musée du Château Dufresne (Canada), diplomatic institutions (Canada), Château du Cheneau (Belgium), Theater Orpheus (Holland) and in Poland: the National Philharmonic Hall (Warsaw), the Feliks Nowowiejski Philharmonic Hall (Olsztyn), Palace of Culture and Science (Warsaw), Szuster Palace (Warsaw), Masovian Culture and Art Center (Warsaw), Villa “Atma” - the Karol Szymanowski Museum (Zakopane). Recently she was participating intensively in “Chopin 2010” - the celebrations of the 200th anniversary of Fryderyk Chopin’s birth.

Her concert repertoire includes many different styles from baroque to the contemporary music. The pianist often introduces national accents into the concert programs, stressing by that her Polish identity. A special place in her repertoire occupies the music of Karol Szymanowski. His compositions became a source of inspiration for her Doctorate in Interpretation thesis.

The artist also received the Scholarships Awards from the Faculty of Music at the Université de Montréal, Quebec Socio-Cultural Polish Foundation, Zygmunt Zaleski Stichting Foundation, Denis Angers scholarship for excellence in piano.
