Media patronage: Polish Music Information Centre POLMIC
The project ‘1933. Penderecki.Górecki’ of the Collegium Cantorum choir conducted by Janusz Siadlak is a tribute to Krzysztof Penderecki and Henryk Mikołaj Górecki on the 90th anniversary of their births and to the composers' contribution to the development of Polish sacred a cappella music.
The concerts will take place: on the 23rd of October at 7:00 p.m. at the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music and on the 25th of October, 2023 at 7:00 p.m. in the Church of St. Peter and Paul (ul. Grodzka 52a) in Cracow. Free entrance!
We will hear choral masterpieces by brilliant Polish composers during the October concerts of the Częstochowa Philharmonic Choir ‘Collegium Cantorum’, founded on the initiative of Janusz Siadlak, which he still directs today.
The composers' wives: Jadwiga Górecka and Elżbieta Penderecka took honorary patronage over the concerts.
Co-financed by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage from the Culture Promotion Fund as part of the ‘Music’ programme implemented by the National Institute of Music and Dance.
