On November 7-8, 2018, the Ignacy Jan Paderewski Academy of Music in Poznań will host the 12th International Composers' Forum.
The International Composers' Forum in Poznań is a series of lectures, workshops and discussions that deal with the latest musical works and broadly understood composer's activity in the modern world. In 2018, the Forum will be devoted to composer-performer relations. The lectures on this subject will be given by Polish composers Artur Cieślak, Andrzej Dziadek, Ewa Fabiańska-Jelińska, Aldona Nawrocka-Woźniak, Rafał Zapała, Wojciech Ziemowit Zych and Ukrainian composer Andrey Merkhel, as well as performers such as lecturers of the music academies in Kraków and Poznań, clarinetist Barbara Borowicz and trombonist Wojciech Jeliński.
The Forum is always accompanied by a concert of new music in excellent interpretations of performers associated with the Academy of Music in Poznań and invited guests. Maria Bielewicz, Barbara Borowicz, Pawel Kroczek and Hanna Lizinkiewicz will perform works by Andrzej Dziadek, Ewa Fabiańska-Jelińska, Monika Kędziora, Krzysztof Penderecki, Volodymyr Runchak and Karlheinz Stockhausen.
