The gems of Polish music will be presented in the capital of the Tatra Mountains during the 18th International Festival of Organ and Chamber Musicm. The event will take place between 7th July and 11th August 2018 in Zakopane.
The programme of this year's festival focuses on chamber music of our native artists to celebrate the 100th anniversary of regaining independence. The repertoir will include works by Roman Palester, Grażyna Bacewicz, Romuald Twardowski, Karol Szymanowski, Jan Maklakiewicz and Juliusz Łucciuk. The festival will feature: Aleksandra Szwejkowska-Belica, Katarzyna Wiwer, the Krakow Trombone Quartet, Maria Pomianowska with the ensemble, Julieta Goznalez-Springer, Małgorzata Trzaskalik-Wyrwa and Ireneusz Wyrwa and the vocal group Affabre Concinui.
An additional advantage of the event are the unique interiors of the Zakopane churches, in which concerts will take place: the National Sanctuary of Our Lady of Fatima in Krzeptówki, the Holy Cross Church and the historic St. John the Apostle and Evangelist in Harenda.
The organizers of the 18th International Festival of Organ and Chamber Music are the Mayor of the City of Zakopane, Leszek Dorula, and the Zakopane Cultural Center.
