After long months of isolation and longing for live music, the Artur Rubinstein Philharmonic in Łódź invites you to eight concerts of the 21st "Colors of Poland" Touring Festival, which will take place during summer weekends, from 26 July to 30 August 2020.
The inaugural concert will take place on 26 July at the Collegiate church of St. Mary and St. Alexius in Tum. Patrycja Krzeszowska-Kubit (soprano), Olga Maroszek (mezzo-soprano), Tomasz Rak (baritone) and the Apertus quartet will perform songs and arias from Stanisław Moniuszko's operas – Halka, Verbum nobile, The Haunted Manor and Flis.
Next concerts will take place in the sanctuary in Wielka Wola – Paradyż, the parish church in Piotrków Trybunalski, the College of the Piarist Order in Łowicz, the Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Pajęczno, the Church of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Rawa Mazowiecka, the Orionine Fathers church in Zduńska Wola, and the Archcathedral Basilica of St. Stanislaus Kostka in Łódź. The "Colors of Poland" Festival will feature music by Polish composers, including Wacław of Szamotuły, Henryk Wieniawski, Ignacy Jan Paderewski, Mieczysław Karłowicz, Feliks Nowowiejski, Karol Szymanowski, Tadeusz Szeligowski, Wojciech Kilar, Henryk Mikołaj Górecki, Krzysztof Penderecki and Romuald Twardowski. The star of the final concert will be phenomenal bass-baritone Tomasz Konieczny.
Admission to the "Colors of Poland" concerts is free. Due to the epidemiological situation, the number of places is limited. Personal invitations and health declarations are obligatory.
