Art’n’Voices Vocal Ensemble and the Association of Young Artists of Wejherowo have the honor to invite you to participate in the 3rd edition of the Composition Competition organized as part of the ArteFonie 2023 Festival. The deadline for submitting competition entries is the 30th of July, 2023.
The competition aims to popularize and develop choral literature for amateur choirs, with a particular emphasis on female choirs. The subject of this year’s edition is a piece in one of two available options:
1. a piece for a female choir a cappella
2. a piece for a female choir with piano accompaniment.
In connection with the designation of Nicolaus Copernicus as the patron of the year 2023, the composed piece must include the following words by the astronomer: „A cóż piękniejszego nad niebo, które przecież ogarnia wszystko, co piękne?” (‘What indeed is more beautiful than heaven, which of course contains all things of beauty’) (in Polish!)
Co-financed by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage from the Culture Promotion Fund as part of the ‘Music’ programme implemented by the Institute of Music and Dance.
The rules of the competition and the application form can be downloaded from the ensemble's website in the festival tab at https://artnvoices.art/festiwal-artefonie/
