3rd edition of the International Festival of the Wieniawski Brothers will be held between February 26 and March 11, 2016 at the Lublin Philharmonic and Lublin Museum.
The event is a tribute to two outstanding artists – Henryk and Józef Wieniawski, as well as an opportunity to become familiar with their works and compositions of other eminent world-class composers.
The festival programme includes symphonic and chamber concerts, which will be performed by Lublin Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra under Jerzy Salwarowski, Jakub Chrenowicz and Jan Miłosz Zarzycki, pianists Tomasz Ritter, Charles Richard-Hamelin, Grzegorz Skrobiński and Claire Hammond, violinists Jakub Jakowicz and Janusz Wawrowski, and others. The artists will present compositions written by Henryk and Józef Wieniawski, Fryderyk Chopin, Johannes Brahms, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Antoni Stolpe, Anton Rubinstein, Ignacy Jan Paderewski, Claude Debussy, Pablo Sarasate, Franciszek Mirecki, and Josef Mysliveček.
