"Porta Musicae" Artistic Association together with the Karol Szymanowski Krakow Philharmonic, invite you to participate in the 5th edition of Krakow Musical Autumn. On the occasion of this small jubilee, the festival will feature five concerts which will take place on November 4-8, 2018.
This year, an invitation to perform the inaugural concert was accepted by the artists from Messages Quartet, who together with pianist Daniel Brylewski will perform the Johannes Brahms quartet and the quintets of Grażyna Bacewicz and Alfred Schnittke. On the second day of the festival, coming from Spain, the Bacarisse Trio will present a programme consisting of the works of Joaquin Turin, Enrique Granados and Paweł Łukaszewski.
The third concert will consist of pieces performed by pianist Gajusz Kęska and Italian actor Angelo Romagnoli. The artists will premiere Katarzyna Szwed's work, commissioned and written especially for the fifth edition of the Krakow Musical Autumn as part of the "Composing Commissions" programme of the Institute of Music and Dance. On the forth day, Emes Piano Duo will present the most famous works of Ignacy Jan Paderewski, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Johannes Brahms. The festival will close with the programme consisting of compositions for cello and piano by Sergiusz Rachmaninow, Tadeusz Majerski, and Ludomir Różycki, and the Polish premiere of the work by Tomasz J. Opałka.
