Department of Wind Instruments of the Academy of Music in Łódź announces the 7th Józef Ciepłucha International Academic Competition for Oboists and Bassoonists.The second and third stages of the Competition will take place on May 6-8, 2024. The application form should be completed and sent by the 10th of March along with a link to the recording of the programme of the first stage (preliminaries).
The idea of the Competition is to promote the best instrumentalists from Polish and foreign music universities. Held in two separate categories - oboe and bassoon - the Competition is open to undergraduate and graduate students of all nationalities who are under 26 years of age at the start of the event. Talented high school students who meet the programme requirements can also take part in the Competition.
The mandatory programme includes, among others: Suite for oboe and piano by Stefan Kisielewski and Sonatina for bassoon and piano by Aleksander Tansman.
