The Kuyavian-Pomeranian Branch of the Polish Composers' Union invites you on 24-26 October 2020 to the 8th Festival of Contemporary Music "New Music". All the festival concerts will take place without the participation of the audience and will be broadcast online.
The idea of this annual undertaking is to create new artistic qualities by combining different disciplines: music, image, word, multimedia. Thus, the festival promotes new works and inspires composers, musicians, artists and writers to co-create culture. The main aim of the festival is to present innovative non-commercial artistic phenomena from Poland and abroad.
The Festival will feature three concerts: "Modern Song – Reflections and Resonances", "Concert on the 100th Anniversary of the Return of Bydgoszcz to the Motherland" and "Faces of the Present. Piano recital by Igor Torbicki". The programme will include new works by Piotr Komorowski, the president of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Branch of the Polish Composers' Union, and his deputy, Marcin Kopczyński.
Co-financed by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage as part of the "Music" programme implemented by the Institute of Music and Dance.
Media patronage: Polish Music Information Centre POLMIC.
Live broadcast will be available at: www.nowamuzyka.bydgoszcz.pl and on YouTube.
