The performance was based on the book The Tiny Kingdom of Princess Aurelka by Roksana Jędrzejewska-Wróbel, which won the "Comma and Dot" Competition for the Best Children's Book organized by Empik. It was included in the prestigious Golden List of the ABCXXI Foundation - "All Poland Reads to Children". The performance The Tiny Kingdom of Princess Aurelka was co-produced by two theaters: the Baj Theater in Warsaw and the "Pleciuga" Puppet Theatre in Szczecin.
Probably every young girl wanted to become a princess, and every young boy wanted to be a knight. A heroine named Aurelka, who is an ordinary girl living in an ordinary city, one day receives her Tiny Kingdom and transforms into a princess. Luckily a dream came true, would you say? Aurelka thought so too. But it turned out that it does not necessarily look as she imagined. The crown squeezes a little, the throne is hard, the beautiful dress in uncomfortable, and the Grand Purser forces her to rule the kingdom. In addition, a conceited prince appears, and a dragon comes out of the bushes and devours the candies. This humorously told story is an invitation to talk about responsibility, stereotypes and the courage to be yourself.
