The Polish Society for Contemporary Music invites you to this year's final improvisation workshops for children "Tell me a Story", which will be held on 2-4 December 2021 at the Municipal Centre of Culture and Art in Bielawa (19A Piastowska St.).
This year, the workshops were organised as part of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage programme "Accessible Culture" in Olsztyn, Zakrzewo, Jastrowie and Krajenka. Thanks to the cooperation with the Municipal Centre of Culture and Art in Bielawa, on 2-4 December 2021, the youngest from this city and its vicinity will be able to discover the world of contemporary music, improvisations and unusual instruments.
The main idea of the project is to trigger graphic-inspired improvisations. Children will create their own stories based on picture books. The improvised fairy tales will be then "translated" into musical language under the guidance of class teachers. Improvisation is the most basic, primary and joyful form of music performance, which is why the workshops combine children's creativity and imagination with books and contemporary music.
Musical guests of the workshops will be: composer playing the monoctone – Jarosław Kordaczuk, beatboxer Patryk Tiktak Matela and composer and pianist Jarosław Siwiński. The workshop will be conducted by the double bass player Małgorzata Kołcz. The kindergarten and school workshops will take place on 2-3 December, and family workshops will be held on 4 December at 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. (FB event).
