Bielsko-Biała and Szczyrk | 2nd Beskid Classics Festival

BeskidOn 29-31 October 2021 Bielsko-Biała and Szczyrk will host the second edition of the extraordinary Beskid Classics Festival organised by the Temida Arts & Business foundation – the largest event of this type in the Polish Beskid Mountains.

Already its first edition in 2019 aroused great interest among music lovers and Polish media, bringing world-class artists such as Charlie Siem and Valentina Igoshina to Bielsko-Biała. Although this year, due to the post-pandemic situation, the organisers will present mainly performers from Poland (Cracow Duo: Kalinowski & Szlezer, Baltic Neopolis Virtuosi), it will also feature the Slovak National Chamber Orchestra "Slovak Sinfonietta" conducted by Martin Leginus, the conductor of the National Opera of Slovakia, with soloists Klára Přecechtělová and Bibiána Bieniková. The festival concerts will also go outside Bielsko-Biała to the Bator Art Gallery in Szczyrk, famous for its works of magical realism. We will hear romantic and contemporary music, including works by Fryderyk Chopin and Romuald Twardowski.

In addition, the organisers will invite participants to workshops with leading Polish specialists in the field of optimal acoustic and Hi-Fi arrangements of home interiors. It will surely be a unique musical and artistic feast in this region.

"StART – a series of concerts" was co-financed by the Minister of Culture, National Heritage and Sport from the Culture Promotion Fund as part of the "Music" programme carried out by the National Institute of Music and Dance.
