Bydgoszcz | 3rd "Music at the Blumwe Villa" Festival
The Piotr Orawski Foundation invites you to five concerts with fantastic performers in the Jeremi Przybora Concert Studio at the Villa of Wilhelm Blumwe – the seat of the Polish Radio of Pomerania and Kuyavia in Bydgoszcz. The 3rd "Music at the Blumwe Villa" festival will run from 27 August to 10 December 2020.
In this year's edition the organizers focused on the 250th anniversary of Ludwig van Beethoven's birth. Compositions by the master from Bonn will be performed by Mariusz Patyra and Mariusz Klimsiak, Akademos Kwartet and Polish Piano Trio. Exceptional vocal recitals by Anna Wilk and Ewa Leszczyńska will complete the Festival programme. There will be Polish music, both romantic and contemporary. We will hear works by Stanisław Moniuszko, Ignacy Jan Paderewski, Andrzej Panufnik, Witold Lutosławski and Romuald Twardowski, who recently celebrated his 90th birthday. The November concert will belong to the composer of the young generation, Michał Dobrzyński – a graduate of the Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz and the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw. The concerts will be hosted by Magdalena Jasińska and Bartłomiej Wezner, the artistic director of the Festival.
The concerts will be held with limited audience participation to maintain a social distance. The events will be also broadcast on YouTube and retransmitted on Fridays in the Radio PIK's "Classic Salon" at 9:06 p.m.
