Composition Competition for a song to the words of Zbigniew Herbert

The Stanisław Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdańsk announces a Composition Competition for a work to the words of Zbigniew Herbert. The competition is intended for students of composition classes and graduates who graduated from the Faculty of Conducting, Composition and Music Theory at the Gdańsk Academy after the 30^th of September, 2013.

The subject of the competition is to compose a song to the words of Zbigniew Herbert intended for solo soprano with piano accompaniment or solo baritone with piano accompaniment. The deadline for submitting scores is the 10^th of January, 2024.
Duration of the composition: from 4 to 6 minutes. Each composer may submit any number of works. Competition compositions should be submitted anonymously.
The winning composition will be premiered at a gala concert commemorating the 100^th anniversary of the poet's birth. In addition, the Rector funded the main prize of PLN 1500 for the winner of the competition
