A special meeting, during which Robin Boyle (Witold Lutosławski ’s manager) will oficially donate precious materials from his collection to the University of Warsaw Library will be held on December 6, 2016.
The list of objects which will be handed over to the Archive of Polish Composers of the University of Warsaw Library includes: Liber amicorum (The Chester Book of Greetings), containing entries by Witold Lutosławski, Sir Peter Maxwell-Davies, Sir John Tavener and other outstanding composers; a signed score of Totentanz by Thomas Adès (work dedicated to Danuta and Witold Lutosławski) and materials related to its premiere performance (BBC Proms, 2013).
The schedule of the meeting involves Robin Boyle’s speech, presentation of donated materials and a documentary on Witold Lutosławski.
The meeting will be held at 5.30 pm at the University of Warsaw Library (56/66 Dobra Street, Hall No. 254, 2nd floor).
