Polish Baltic Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra under Jerzy Maksymiuk will perform famous compositions by Wojciech Kilar written for films by Zanussi, Konwicki, Wajda and Polański. The concert will be held on February 24, 2017.
The programme includes such works as Orawa, Kościelec, Mazur from Zemsta (The Revenge), Waltz from The Promised Land, Polonaise from Pan Tadeusz, Allegro from September Symphony, music from A Chronicle of Amorous Accidents, The Shadow Land, The Leper, and Dracula.
The Orchestra will be led by Jerzy Maksymiuk who is a distinguished promoter of contemporary music and - as a co-author of the Warsaw Autumn Festival, was a member of its Programme Committee for several years.
