Gdańsk | 24th "Music in the gazebo. Guests of the Polish Chamber Choir"

The 24th edition of the concert series "Music in the gazebo. Guests of the Polish Chamber Choir" will be held in Gdańsk from 17 July to 14 August 2021. The concerts will take place in the Oliwa Park on Saturdays at 12.00 p.m.

It was 1997 when Jan Łukaszewski invited the outstanding singer Łucja Prus to prepare a programme for the celebration of the 1000th anniversary of Gdańsk. The residents of the city liked this idea so much that the director of the Polish Chamber Choir decided to continue the unique musical meetings in the beautiful Oliwa Park. The organisers invite you on a journey full of musical impressions for the 24th time.

The concerts will be performed by talented musicians: violinists Jan Szczypiorski and Małgorzata Wójcik, accordionist Paweł Wiśniewski, tenor Krzysztof Lorek, pianists Wiktoria Browarek and Marta Kur, Mateusz Bliskowski Quartet and young artists from the Suzuki Institute in Gdańsk. The programme will include works by outstanding Polish composers – Stanisław Moniuszko, Fryderyk Chopin, Henryk Wieniawski, Mieczysław Karłowicz – and music by Johann Sebastian Bach, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Antonio Vivaldi, Astor Piazzolla and Antonin Dvořák.
