Gdańsk | A tribute concert to President Paweł Adamowicz

A tribute concert to President Paweł Adamowicz, who passed away tragically half a year ago, will take place on 14 July 2019 in St. Mary's Basilica in Gdańsk as part of the 8th Euro Chamber Music Festival.

Euro Chamber Music Festival Gdańsk is the largest international festival of chamber music in northern Poland which attracts renowned artists as well as promotes upcoming musicinas. The idea of organising a concert in tribute to President Pawał Adamowicz came from the Gdańsk ensemble Duo del Gesú, composed of French violinist of Polish descent Arnaud Kaminski and violist Krzyszrof Komendarek-Tymendorf, an ambassador of the social campaign Save the Music.

Cappella Gedanensis under Rafał Kłoczko will perform works by Giacomo Puccini, Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Eugeniusz Głowski, Stanisław Moniuszko and others. The concert will also feature recitation of the texts and thoughts of President Paweł Adamowicz by Jerzy Stuhr.
