Three quartets, three different worlds - three masters, each in his own late style... On the 90th anniversary of birth of Krzysztof Penderecki and Henryk Mikołaj Górecki, the Silesian Quartet will present late quartets by composers on the stages of Polish universities: on the 27th of November at the Stanisław Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdańsk and on the 28th of November at the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz.
Performed by the world-famous Polish ensemble, we will hear Krzysztof Penderecki's String Quartet No. 4, String Quartet No. 3 "..the songs sing" op. 67 by Henryk Mikołaj Górecki, as well as String Quartet No. 2 by Eugeniusz Knapik.
Co-financed by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage from the Culture Promotion Fund as part of the "Music" programme implemented by the National Institute of Music and Dance.
