Gdańsk | Concert "Music of Our Times"

Stanisław Moniuszko Academy of Music in Gdańsk, as co-organizer of the National Program "Music of Our Times", invites you to a composing concert on May 25, 2018 at 6.00 pm, which will present 8 pieces qualified for the second edition of the project promoting Polish music of the 21st century.

The programme "Music of Our Times" was initiated by the "Krzysztof Penedercki Akademia Association International Centre" and the "Krzysztof Penderecki European Center for Music". It aims to promote Polish music of the 21st century and introduce it to the artistic education, all under the Honorary Patronage of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.

The program of the May concert will include works by young composers: Voliere II for clarinet, cello and double bass by Aleksandra Kaca, Cala for accordion, cello, piano, vibraphone and clarinet by Dominik Lasota, Contemporary Music for violin, viola and cello by Filip Sporniak, Adolescere for violin, cello, double bass, percussion and accordion by Kamil Kruk, Mohawk Tale for flute and piano by Aleksandra Chmielewska, Prelude 2 for piano by Marcin Jachim, Toccata for accordion and piano by Ewa Fabiańska-Jelińska and Synesthesia for accordion by Żaneta Rydzewska. The works will be presented by pedagogues and students of the Faculty of Instrumental Music of the Music Academy in Gdańsk, including dr hab. Andrzej Wojciechowski and dr hab. Paweł Rydel, prof. AM.

Admission to the concert is free.
