On 15th July 2018, a series of open-air concerts organized by the Gorzow Philharmonic will take place under the name of "Chopin Picnics".
The concerts will be held every Sunday at 4.00 p.m. on the Arts Square. For about two hours beautiful green areas around the Gorzów Philharmonic will turn into a unique urban picnic. In case of inclement weather, the concerts will take place in the Philharmonic building. They will last until the 2nd September.
This year repertoir will include 20th-century Polish music. During the inaugural concert, Tomasz Marut will perform Variations in B flat minor op. 3 by Karol Szymanowski. On July 22, Martyna Kubik will present Szymanowski's Maski op. 34. We will also hear piano pieces by Ignacy Jan Paderewski and Henryk Pachulski in the interpretation of Sławomir Wilk.
Admission to all summer concerts is free.
