The Opera Gala "From the Italian land to Poland" will be held on June 22, 2018 at 7.00 pm at the Lower Silesian Philharmonic.
At the end of the 54th artistic season and at the same time on the occasion of the inauguration of the 2nd Karkonosze Opera Festival, the Lower Silesian Philharmonic in Jelenia Góra will present a unique concert – full of great music, colorful voices and surprises. The Symphony Orchestra of the Lower Silesian Philharmonic under the baton of Jerzy Kosk will perform along with soloists: Elżbieta Kaczmarzyk-Janczak (mezzo-soprano), Tomasz Janczak (tenor) and Kamil Pękala (baritone).
In the interpretation of the artists, we will hear fragments from operas by Giuseppe Verdi, Gioacchina Rossini, Vincenz Bellini, as well as works by Polish composers: fragments from Halka, Haunted Manor and Verbum nobile by Stanisław Moniuszko, The Baltic Legend by Feliks Nowowiejski and King Roger by Karol Szymanowski.
