Bogusław Kaczyński - journalist, music theorist, popularizer of opera and operetta, TV presenter, and author of many TV broadcasts, died on January 21, 2016 in Warsaw.
He was also a laureate of many awards, author of numerous books, manager, and founder of the Jan Kiepura European Festival in Krynica and world-famous Music Festivals in Łańcut. In 1993 he was offered a post of the vice-rector of the Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw (currently the Chopin University of Music). Between 1994 and 1998 he was the artistic director of ROMA Music Theatre in Warsaw.
He was very successful as a lecturer, having presented lectures about the history of music and opera, both in Poland and abroad (Beijing, Moscow, Vienna, Rome, Florence, Paris, London, Berlin, Munich, Prague, Budapest, Madrid, Havana, Boston, Miami, Toronto, Vancouver).
