A fascinating meeting with Polish music will be provided by Kalisz Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Adam Klocek. Instead of traditional ouverture, the concert will begin with Serenade for strings, Op. 2 by Mieczysław Karłowicz, showing the future great talent of a 20-year-old composer.
After this orchestral introduction, the pianist of the young generation, Piotr Kosiński, will perform a captivating farewell to the homeland: Piano Concerto in E minor by Fryderyk Chopin, who had to leave the country forever in 1930. In the final we will move to Orawa region, along with Wojciech Kilar's Orawa for chamber string orchestra, which always arouses the greatest enthusiasm of the audience.
Admission to the event is free. The organizers also provide free transport to the concert: marked KLA bus from the stop at Nowy Świat Street (in front of the concert hall of the Kalisz Philharmonic). Departure at 5.15 p.m., return at 8.00 p.m.
